The guy is possibly the biggest “fuck you” that ever happened upon American Idol. Yes, you heard, an even bigger “fuck you” than Sanjaya the Mighty.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for this dude. He’s funny as hell, witty, and I’m even starting to find him cute.

How do I love Norman/Normund/Nick/Whateverthefuckhisnameis? Let me count the ways:
1. He not only knows how to stick it to Simon, but does so whenever possible.
2. He makes me laugh — and I mean loud guffaws — by doing things I could never describe to a non-watcher as being funny. You must experience the man, the legend, first-hand.
3. The glasses, the headband, the shorts, and the shirt. The shirt! That shirt will someday find a home in some museum.
4. Knowing that The Norman Gentle Show will be coming to you soon on a tv near you. Seriously, win or lose American Idol, the man is going to be a star.
5. I could go on indefinitely, but sleep calls.

I agree Garrito, he didn’t last as long as I wished, but he got plenty of exposure… Hopefully, he’ll get some work out of that. I could totally see him hosting a comedy-talk-show type thing.
Half-Crazy, there’s one thing that you should know about me, and it is that my recaps are almost always late, and that’s when I get around to write them at all. I’m a very unreliable writer. 😉

I’m counting on the wild card spots. So far, Tatiana Del Toro and Nick Mitchell seem obvious choices for wild cards. Its ratings, people. Television is ratings. American Idol left the “guilt-ridden viewer” behind last year. It was all about the kiddies. American Idol just needs to embrace the “cult audience” that loves to bitch about it. And they need to concede to OUR wishes every now and then.

Tatiana Del Toro and Nick Mitchell.

Not that it will happen though. Adam and America’s #1 widower Danny Gokey are gonna get in the way of my dream semi-finals. Although I do like Adam.
As for Normick getting a wild card spot, I very much hope so, but I very much doubt it. Simon clearly can’t stand him, and I don’t think the producers trust him to stop fucking around. I’m not sure I would either, lol! It’s obvious he doesn’t give a shit about the competition, and I’d be surprised if Idol was willing to risk having to deal with a new and improved version of Sanjaya.
